Right on with that observation Seafever. The great vanity of all the devoutly religious (and Harper is devout) is that they are the "chosen ones". It is a self justifying principle, because after all, if "god" had not "chosen" him he would not have won the election! Very dangerous "double think" form of self delusion which can justify any action, as mankind knows to his cost from the long distant past historical record right through to the present.
