I've never used one but......are they legal?

A piece of tube that has holes in it and you fill it with chumbait and goodies and hang it on your downrigger line at fish depth so it leaves a scent trail.........

Yeah bait bags or "tubes are legal." Word of warning-I tried it and the bait bag got hit by what I think was a large shark-damn near lost everything-the crew agreed it was very exciting and we have never bothered since. LOL

You can make one out of PVC pipe; use an end cap and screw on sewer end and then drill full of holes. I made one out of 6" sewer pipe and it is full of tooth marks from doggies but there mouths aren't big enough to latch on; i have it connected with 1/4" poly run through the pipe to hold the cap in place and attach to the top of the chain; that way if anything does grab it or it gets tangled in anything i will be able to break it when I pull the anchor. Works wonders off the WCVI.
