i have a 10'6 trophy xl meadium action nothing but praises its been really good to me nice for catching steelhead coho chums sockeye and caught 15, 35lb+ chinook salmon on the stamp this fall with no problems and all n all an awsome drift fishing rod love it cant get it outa my hands wont even let my dad touch it lol........ my uncle has a trophyxl mediumaction to and praises it aswell and hes a vrey advid anger and has had many different rods... so from 2 anglers who fish alot........ if you hit up the stamp bite me gimme email maybe just might meet ya and show ya around some hotspots

thanks a lot steelheadman, im definetly gonna seriously consider getting one, as they are in my price range.ive never been to the stamp before, and right now im still in school, and cant drive yet,(so close) but im still tryin to convince my step dad into a trip to the stamp...thanks a lot for the offer, as i would be totally lost on that system.if ur ever in campbell river, and looking to do some fishing, either salt or fresh, let me know.(im also a gold river fanatic, love that system, as i caught my first, second, and third steelhead on that river, as well as my biggest)

The surge of chrome that had all of us wagging our tails the last couple of weeks has gone up. Haven't been able to relocate in a few now. New arrivals are trickling, but reeeeaal slow. So, fishin' just ain't what it was a week ago. Loads of bankies and boats, poor return, damn cold, but at least the Riv is in good shape. Soon, we hope they'll start the conveyour again!

As for me, I'm off the flow for a few, too much jerky to be smoked to waste time amongst the crowds when they're not there. Leave it to the out-of-towners for a few. Back on when they're Gone <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

good advice there Nog,it's quite a show up there when it's busy as ive it quit fishing it xmas week years ago but if you got the time worth a try and at least witness a gong show anyways!Keep us posted.Thanks!

to Bite Me. Look into the shimano convergance series. I've used them since they came out 5 or 6 years ago. still usin the first medium light for steels and coho. never broke one either. $100 at most shops.

thanks oliver, i have the shimano convergence mooching rod and the convergence 10 foot steel head spinning rod already and im really happy with them...i know they make the convergence in 10'6, but is that long enough to get a good controled drift on rivers like the gold, or stamp, or any others?
