Just heard a rumour that the Heltsuk have already announced to all tourism operators in the area to not plan on any operations for this season.
Seems like a touch early to be making that call.
I believe they have already been vaccinated, and most of the population should be by the summer fishing months.
2 years in a row of not being able to operate, will there be anyone left able to open back up after that kind of loss??

Anyone hear of anything regarding this?

This has nothing to do with Covid or vaccinations. The pandemic is just the excuse.

Last summer while up there for a month on our sailboat in June/July, we heard several stories about people being harassed at anchorage for not being welcome in 'traditional territory'...
We never had any problems though.
