Just talked to a friend that went kayaking and hiking in the Cape Scott area at the end of August. He hooked 3 springs and landed 2 from his kayak just where the river empties into the bay about 1km from the parking lot all in one afternoon. He was dragging a pink hootchie and a flasher and no weight in about 15 feet of water. I don't imagine his flasher was even rotating, just skimming the surface.
