Cannonball weights for lake fishing

Most of my downrigger gear is set up for saltwater fishing. For lakes such as Okanagan and Wood Lake, what weight cannonballs do you guys use?

I use 10 pounders, but you could use more if thats what you got.

15s and 12s is what I’ve used both work well the 8s for kokes are a good idea to have on board

I still run my 15's on the lakes. I run big dummy gang trolls off the ball though and don't like allot of blow back. If i had to manually crank'm up though I'd go with 10's.

Just came back from a trip to the cariboo for Kokanee. Using 15lb balls we didn't get 1 hit on the downriggers. Caught all our fish on leadline setups. Would definitely go light as possible if using downriggers.
