Canadian Border Employees—-Strike

Probably a while, but they are essential service so at least the border crossings won't be closed....... if we are ever allowed to go down again

So what does “essential” mean? If they’re on strike, doesn’t that mean there won’t be any of them manning their stations and border traffic will come to a screeching halt?

Much like nurses. Essential means they have to stay open. But usually services slow down as they are allowed to rotate staff and stike.

Here is the article I read a couple days ago.

As of today though, they are back in talks apparently.
