it seems like a good idea, while trolling just drag a bucktail behind the boat anyone tried that off sooke??
I have tried bucktailing offshore from Sooke to Church Rock a few times this year without success while running downriggers at the same time. Caught fish on the gear but not on the bucktails. Maybe the speed was too slow. I don't know but will keep trying next year when the coho are back.
