10k now for the hull without the engines for the podded 1984 hourston 23 ft. Not sure if the trailer is in good shape but if the pod is well done and there is a new fuel tank plumbed in nicely it might be a good buy

Could only find one significantly better boat for sale on Craigslist and it has no warranty on the engine.

definitely an ex rental I’d be super cautious with that boat looks like the transom has some large cracks in it! Kinda scary to think someone could be out there with their family.

Those are sometimes just cracks in the way the inside cosmetic coat of resin Gelcoat was applied. May be nothing but an indicator that a closer inspection by a Surveyor may be warranted.

the motor mounting bolt sure looks like it’s getting pulled through into the transom which is a good indicator of wet wood there’s various other cracks in some of the pictures I’m betting it’s pretty wet inside.

good compression but not running. So spend $2k in injectors, seals, ECU maybe, thermostat, zincs, ignition module, get it running, and it has a cracked water jacket somewhere, and the crankcase turns into a milkshake machine. Usually if things are “an easy fix” the seller will easily fix them and get top dollar.
