Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Great you find me one for that I'll pick it up and resell it.
There’s been a few 80’s 18’-20' double eagles that have been sitting on the market for months that are 20k or just under. But with that vintage condition will vary wildly, if it hasn't had a transom, floor or stringer repair done its only a matter of time.

Agree. Just the structural work for that boat is 15k at a shop. It's all about condition and power. 40 year old boat, old wiring and electronics, with a 15-20 year old engine isn't worth much. On the other hand a solid old DE with a +/- 5 year old engine, updated wiring and electronics and you've got a 30k boat.

Interesting... @Brando rate these welds, I'm not a welder so I can't offer much of an opinion but its pretty cheap for basically brand-new power that's for sure

Give it an honorable death and turn it into pop cans.

I'm not a metal guy at all,so maybe some of the experts on here can clue me in to aluminum welding.I can see in the boat pictures the welds look sloppy, but is it possible to grind them out and redo them properly or is it a one shot deal to get them right?

You can tidy them up, redo them. It's not fun, not best practice and will never look as good as a proper job. Bottom line, people have way more fun piling on and poking fun though. He did build his own boat, and neither myself nor most others on here can say that they have achieved the same
