Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Whoa!
Buyer beware - those GW Tiger Cats have a terrible reputation. Production run was only two years and word is that GW destroyed the molds afterwards.

Thanks for the warning on the GW ugly duckling. North West Marine industries build the Seasport 3200 cat and the C-Dory Tomcat 255 way nicer Cats and the 25.5 Tomcat would be close to that price if it was a 2007 and a real proven boat. One 255 just was sold with new power for a steal. Hopefully we’ll see a 3200 at the boat show in Sidney but I doubt it. Might have to wait until the Seattle boat show!

Any good Cats in the 28-30 LOA range? Be nice to have just a little bit more beam about 10 feet, running on 2X 200-300hp. Two footitus planning when two kids leave the nest in 16-20 years…..

I’m told these are the benchmark for Cats

I’ve watched a couple videos on Freeman cats. Unfortunately nothing with nice cabin/enclosure spaces. AspenCats are nice to but weird. Imagine running and burning 410gallons to get to your destination like on this Freeman with quads?

Freemans are not at all designed for our coast, they are all about high speed cruising at over 40mph. No shelter, cover.

Unless your jimmy buffet...they built him a pilot house cat that is insane. Currently massive waitlists to get a freeman, guys selling there spots on the waitlist for 25000...then pay nearly a million bucks for the boat. I like that they are helping make Cats more mainstream, just need a west coast cat builder. unfortunately World cat only makes dual console and center consoles now. Glacier bay made some good ones, I think world cat absorbed them.

I absolutely love my 10 foot livingston, incredible fly fishing platform.

You'll see me out in this one soon. 32 LOA 13' Beam. Twin Suzuki 350s
Buddies boat build? Similar size to the Seasport.

Some amazing builds on the east coast. Even had a buddy out of Boston just do a complete retrofit and then say, I’m 6’2 and we spend too much time in it so I’m putting it up with a broker. Nice to see Americans spending!

Grady White Overnighter 20.8' 1991 - $8,000 (North Saanich)

Had a look at this hoping it was solid enough to repower and fix up but no go,the aft deck is completely delaminated and very likely stringers too.Not worth the effort or expense.

That really urks me when someone tries to sell something they know dang well there's problems. Wastes your time some people travel to the island ect to look at boats. If you take a regular hammer and tap you can tell real easy it's not going to damage the gelcoat.

You also can drill inside the transom no big deal two seconds marinetex or some resin. Over it. Just best get a newer boat 2006 and up with composites.

My buddy looked at one like that as well a couple of months ago. $10 boat in my opinion unless you know and love that engine.

I don’t know what you guys are expecting to get out of a 20’ Grady for $8k.
It’s going to be a piece of junk for that. You can’t get a 1976 double eagle 16’ with a 2 stroke for $8k anymore.
Also, any ad being sold “as is” means it’s not nice and won’t work.

That's right ,I knew going in there would be work to do,I just didn't know how extensive it would be and how much access to fix it up.I was hoping I could do it myself, add new power and trailer etc.and come out ahead.I've had a hell of a time finding a new ride,so looking at all alternatives.
