Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Why have you not jumped on that yet? You can always put the correct prop on it to get out of the hole if that is indeed a concern or in time you can put a 350 block in it if you feel the power is down. That boat has everything you are looking for and the price is as good as you’re going to get in this market.
I am very leery on that 5.0 carb, so many are telling me that it is not enough jam for that size boat and to stay away from it... and I will not be able to afford new power at that price for some years LOL

I owned a 2452 with the same 5litre, it was a dog, playing with props got it to go good enough, like 30 mph wot and cruise at 22-24 mph depending on load, similar boat, not the greatest quality built boat boat did the job,my 2452 was a bit of a bathtub hull with the egg shell feel. 5.7 litre is minimum I would say if you want enough power, the 5 litre is more for lake flat no current king of application
Thank you Brutus, info well received!

Bayliner 245 ciera 6000lb dry went 40MPH WOT at 5000rpm. Cruised at 28MPH at 3800-4000 rpm but would fall off step easily at anything less. Needed weight forward to get on plane and in crappy conditions it didn't have enough jam to fight the seas. Not to mention the Alpha 1 is a piece of junk as well. Especially under those loads. 5.7mpi with a bravo 3 duoprop is far FAR superior.

Agreed! This is the consensus and feedback which aligns with your findings @Rain City , thank you. I will pass on this one...

I did just get a hit on a 2005 Campion Explorer 622 w/less than 500hrs for $47,000 w/remote kicker steering... The boat is in Invenmere and always been a fresh water boat, has never been in the salten sea :)

That 4.3 is 220 hp. Plenty on that boat. Don’t own one but a friend does and it moves fine with 3 guys and will pull a skier no prob.
220hp at the flywheel, not too sure what hp at the prop, when I add my 5ltr my mechanic told me they I was lucky to have 180hp at the prop, I am no expert in hp or I/o or outboard but he told me outboard were true hp at the prop and I/o at the flywheel, let the debate begin lol

Nice motor package w/dual prop, steep $$ for a 2003 yes/no?

Duo Prop is where it’s at @Rob Snider

Trophy Pro 2359 fishing boat $1.00

I was told to stay away from this carb motor in the Trophy 2359's, way underpowered... thoughts?
Just got a measurement from this boat and it is app 124" from ground to top of roof not including gps/radar etc... so it's to freaking tall for the 9' doors in the boat house. I am going to go look at the Campion on Thursday and see, I honestly think that Explorer should be priced around $37,000 for the options it has, or better yet, dont have.

Probably get 2 footitis pretty quick with that Explorer.... Looks awfully tight around the helm. That 2359 is waaay more boat! Jack up the boathouse an option??
