boarding a run away boat

Exciting video - great boat driver - thanks for posting, civano.

Thats exactly why they make Boat Kill Switches with lanyards - that's the lesson here.

If I am alone in an open boat where I can fall out and esp if it is rough & bumpy - the lanyard goes on - just to prevent this from occurring.

Another good idea is to make sure you can get back into a boat if you fall out and are by yourself. Many boats have pods with ladders - many don't. A bight of rope tied on both ends hanging down in the right spot can be quite helpful in these situations. Been there done that a couple times in my life.

Looks like a pretty hazardous thing to do for someone elses boat, but he was there so his call.

A boat ripping around at 40mph with no driver is pretty hazardous as well LOL.

I'm surprised he didn't give a big Ric Flair WOOOOO when he nailed the landing.
