Belair Insurance

For many years I have had my house and non compulsory vehicle insurance with Canadian Direct. Recently received the notification from Belair Insurance that they have taken over Canadian Insurance and that the renewal for one of the vehicles has increased approximately $50 per year. Not only do they want $50 more but they want to charge my credit card on the day that I renew the insurance and not on the renewal day. I was happy with Canadian Direct but I'm not sure if I should switch to Belair.
Anyone have any experience good or bad with Belair Insurance?

Recently called Belair to have them quote on vehicle and home insurance. Belairs quote to me was higher than through my broker. Approx 8% higher. I told Belair that they were higher, the gal said that's possible but check back with us next year as they aren't all up to speed with pricing their quotes. Thought that was quite odd, try em out maybe you will have better success.

Belair is part of Intact which I am already insured through with a broker.
