A group of us just returned from the area (july 24-29) and found that fishing was not slow, it was almost non existant! 9 springs for 6 guys in three boats.Tyee Lodge boats were even getting skunked! The fish that they did find on the banks were small (10-15lb springs). We have fished the area for 15 years and have never seen it like this.I heard that it is not much better up the coast. Are we turning into the east coast?

I'm heading up that way this weekend... Hopefully it will have improved by then. My experience is that July can be spotty, especially on the inside. I hear this year has been a slower than usual on the banks. A few years ago I had a really slow fishing trip in July but then had probably one of my best fishing trips fishing the same area later in August. It sure is a nice area to fish when the fish are around!
