any one targeting halibut ,still in Victoria

Just wondering if any one is catching halibut on purpose, and what do you use do get past the doggies, Thanks..

Go catch some pinks, cut off the head and hook up a large circle hook.
They are too big for the dogfish, but Hallie's don't mind

Where has been the hot spot, i heard a 30 pounder from race yesterday. But i was thinking about trying off the bluffs. Anyone ever try for Butts there? If so where do you go and what depth this time of year?
