All Things COVID-19

But I'd also argue that it makes less sense to subtract Montreal than NYC simply because NYC is a global outlier... Montreal is having a bad but bad-normal experience with the Wuhan Flu. New York is having a worse impact than just about anywhere on the planet and it's not just a scaled-up version of the Montreal experience, it's a uniquely terrible set of numbers.
Both Quebec and NY have elevated COVID mortality numbers from their National averages - but for different reasons. In Quebec - much of the mortality is from the long term care homes.

Here's how the feds have abdicated responsibility during COVID-19

And while the pundits love to compare us to the United States, which has a whole host of unique shortcomings of its own, why not compare us to Germany? Its southern border is only 300 km away from the European epicentre of this disease in Lombardy, Italy.

Yet, It has recorded 44% fewer deaths per capita than we have. Austria, which is even closer, has recorded 59% fewer deaths. Australia and New Zealand, 98% fewer fatalities.

In fact, we’ve had 14 times more COVID deaths in Canada, per person, than South Korea, Australia and New Zealand combined. And, to be clear, this isn’t a partisan issue.

Look, obviously Canada and its government is not responsible for COVID-19. But it is responsible for preparing for and reacting to unexpected situations. That’s part of leadership. That’s part of running a country.

And it’s where this government, unfortunately, has let Canadians down again

This is interesting.

This is the video that I have been waiting all week to see.
Modeling and a bonus of when and where covid showed up in BC.
It's rather long but if you what to understand our epidemic this is one of the ones to watch.

“By all rights, British Columbia should have been clobbered,” said Colin Furness, an outspoken infection control epidemiologist in Toronto. The province is on the coast, above Washington State, he noted, with a large population that travels back and forth to China, where the outbreak began.

“They took decisive action, did it early without hesitation and communicated effectively,” Mr. Furness added. “People listened to her.”

Been too long believing all the doom and gloom BS. Non has really presented as the professionals stated. Not even for countries who ignored same pro's. No need for twisted numbers. If you are high risk or live with someone who is by all means lock yourself away. Follow all the rules, regs and orders. For the rest of society and me with numbers like .006% going to die from it after I get it= I am good with them odds. Lets get back to it, no extinction event this time.

Pissed that I got official word today that my year long planned trip now has another year to wait. Cant get into Africa. Dam this Covid scam.
