I was making a whole lot of something around QA in 250-300 FOW.

Were you picking up herring on your screen as you were entering False Creek around the 10 KPH markers?

I just got back and there was definitely something heavy and thick as I was coming in from the mile markers this afternoon

On another note, did you notice the flag at half mast when you were coming in? Apparently it is for Mulroney and will stay there until he is laid to rest.

We made the run to Defence Islands this morning and got nothing. Water looked pretty turbid so thinking the algae bloom is on.

Tried a few spots off north side of Gambier and got a nice ling cod but no salmon.

Ran back to the bell buoy / north arm and got 3, though it was slow on the dropping tide. Put them all back. Lovely day on the water but slow on the fishing for us.

I just caught a 5 lb Pcod about 15 minutes ago at the bell. 200 FoW on the bottom with a 5 inch blue glow tomic plug. My first one!

Maybe a new hotspot for cod fishing!

Picked up my buddy at the airport and we were lines down for 8 am off the north arm.

A hour later we had two in the box from 160’ - 180’ contours. One marble, be red. One hatchery, one wild. Both mid 60cms. Lots of fish out there.

It is like a summer day out here at Cowan point. Lots of boats, just waiting to find the right depth. Not a lot of nets or flashes in the air that I have seen yet, been here for an hour. A beautiful day though.

At the bell, a couple unders so far. Marking lots of bait so hanging around for a bit.

Pretty slow morning at the Bell but we got one keeper 65cm around 10am. Trying to stay on top of a nice bait ball at around 190’ depth just west of the Bell.

Well we managed to get back on that bait ball a few times, but kept hitting 60cm fish. Feisty little guys. Didn’t look like much other action out there.
What a ridiculously beautiful day though…

Fished bell -NA 1 - 330 not even a shaker . Doing the lords work and heading to the hump for some exploratory plug fishing .

I don’t think there were any superstars out there today. Gorgeous day, great water conditions, but the fish decided to stay home.

Nice it was slow one the east side from roberts creek to trail bay. Did you guys pop to thrasher? (Duly noted, my reports are from my coast neighbors as my wife taught me it's way more fun to rake leaves then go fishing on a day like today. Ugh)

Thrasher right at tide this morning with a 5” 602. 8 lb.

Should be either at thrasher or porlier for first light tomorrow , after today’s fishing and reports I’m not too sure where to start . Bit of a ghost town

I’m gonna be at the Bell and maybe Cowan. Weather reports looking very good tomorrow. Having a beach fire just past the last marker and it’s glass calm out right now.
