I tried on the Waterfront tonight with my 83 yr. Old dad. Everytime I left him at the wheel So i could get rods going we seemed to run over huge kelp beds or there was the time i looked up and the coho was bearing down on us. It was a little tough to maintain the rods but we had fun even though we only got a few little shakers.

Was out off Macauley this am from 6:30 to 9. Lots of boats out. Started and ended the day with a nice 7ish'er - both released, with a few shakers in between. Nice morning. Saw one guy net a bigger one beside me. Also saw a seal chewing on a nice maybe 10 pounder. The gulls were helping.

I had the camera down running a 4in herring AP spoon and a herring aide skinny g. AP spoon got all the attention. I ended up taking a 3 pounder for a walk. haha He swam with me for a while before getting off. I'll post the video soon...work calls...

Tight lines.

Thats odd... I also happened to catch a 27.2 fish today :)
I know I know… pictures, or it didn’t happen right? we got it on a double header. Fish ran so hard I thought at first it was a seal. The fight was crazy and I’m not sure how I didn’t lose it several times when I f*cked up

Caught on a custom APtackleworks lure I call “hot streak” … the same one that landed me a monster Chinook a few weeks ago I had to release.

Fish the waterfront this morning. Got a high teen white male. Heard of a low 30’s and mid 20’s being caught also but didn’t see the fish so can’t confirm

Fished the waterfront today 11-2. Nothing but seaweed. Should've got up earlier. Although, I didn't see any nets out. I guy on the dock told me he picked up a 8# hatch coho for din din.

Fished yesterday 8 am - 11 am. Released a nice 8 # unmarked coho caught on bait. My nephew trolling an AP spoon, me using bait, we had a double header where we netted his 15 # spring. I had to leave mine to soak while I netted his; mine was gone when his was in the boat. Picked up a lingcod shortly before heading in.

A colleague took a 10 # spring that turned out to be riddled with the henneguya salminicola parasite. That one ended up back in the ocean and not on the bbq, despite the parasite being harmless to humans even when consumed. Too much visual ick factor for most people, I think.

Just 1 wild coho to the boat today, but I didn't start till 9:30,so I don't know if there was an earlier bite at the waterfront.
