Out yesterday off Cowans between 9:30 and 12:30 we had 12 springs to the boat. One wild, all the rest hatchery. All over 10lbs with several close to 15. All caught around 120' most on Herring aide.
correct me if I am wrong, but the big influx of hatchery fish are heading down to WA and OR state correct? I assume they are passing by now because it's a far distance to go to get to their destination... And with BC only clipping a very small percentage of fish, that would mean by the time DFO gets their **** together, even if we do get access to hatchery, the big hatchery runs would be past us...
Absolutely NO reason nor plausible excuse for why we can not retain hatchery...
