Boat looks very comfortable Andrew!I was out yesterday morning for an hour and a half with the old man off Fairfax. One tiny rock cod.
Gorgeous morning though, if only a little chillyView attachment 41512
I've had it for two years. It's an automatic one that I bought from Trotac. I just didn't have it when I was with you because it was in my other boatBoat looks very comfortable Andrew!
Also glad to see you have a nice PFD on... is it new?! I almost bought a mustang as well last week at the big capital iron sale but an old timer grabbed the last one seconds before I got there.
Stizzla'd the photos tooJust got home from a fairfax adventure with @Original

Then it settled down nicely and we hit a few shakers (three foot long Chinook and a couple of bottom fish)
Super calm rip back to the dock. A good time was had by all!

I’m glad you came out of retirement early!First time out in a while today. I usually put the boat away for a few months during the winter but a friend wanted to go, so we went! Tried around James, Coal and Fairfax. Released a borderline wild fish at Fairfax, caught on some variant of Gibbs glow spoon with a green/glow/uv flasher, 140' on the rigger, 160' of water - shallow side!
You should fish for Hali before it closes!View attachment 42015
I’m having coffee from my “lucky” mug, which means:
I’m dusting off my rod and reel and am going to get my butt on the water!
Report to come later
Hmmm. I might give it a go later in the week. Good idea! You should fish for Hali before it closes!

We have got them at Little Zero Rock, around Darcy in shallow water(not in RCA!), in between Darcy and James. But have spent a lot of time on the pick this year with nothing to show for it. So, luck of the draw. Other years we have limited out early in the season, all in the Sidney area. Are there any around Sidney? I've been waiting to try again as well, but I've been hearing only skunky reports.
