Talked to a friend today and he said there are a few Sockeye that have gone up the river in Port Alberni. Has anyone been fishing for them yet?
It's starting to warm up and it's that time of the year when it could start anytime. All the gear is sorted and ready to go anytime.
Good luck to everyone this year, we just need a few things to come together for a chance to get some Sockeye.
Hopefully DFO will manage the fishery so the sports guys get a chance this year and give a big boost to Port Alberni. The last time I seen Port booming was when there was 500 boats in the inlet fishing sockeye and every store, restaurant, hotel, pub and tackle shop was full.
