1989 mercury 25 hp won't start when warm

i have a 89 25 hp mercury on my Jon boat. It starts no problem when cold. The problem I'm having is when it runs for some time, as some as I bring it to an idle, it dies and I can't get it going for probably ten or more minutes. Any suggestions

Check to ensure choke is coming all the way off.

Might be head gasket. Had it happen on a Johnson 70 seahorse

Compression is fine 130 on top hole 125 on bottom any other ideas I have read could be switch box. Any idea how to test it or is it just a replace thing

When no start, pull plugs, check if wet or normal looking, check for spark.
