What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Kingston makes a bow roller for this size of anchor. It looks great nests perfectly, with a built in safety pin. Not inexpensive, but worth a little more. I shopped around and got mine for a really good deal a Poco Marine, delivered to my door. I also got the anchor swivel from them.
Poco Marine has lots of good deals, sometimes you have to work it a bit, but they do a ton of online/mail order stuff. I pick up there.

Thanks for the heads up on Poco Marine, nice to see deals on Minn Kota. Freedom 77 here I come!

I have the same Lewmar windlass on my boat, it works pretty well and pulls hard. I would strongly recommend mounting it to your deck as apposed to the hatch cover of your anchor locker. that setup is just going to end in heartbreak.

Dramatic Heartbreak

I’m a member of a group dedicated to this boat. Some others have done it this way, with no issues. The hatch is recessed and with the way the force is being puled (sideways and down) it can’t go anywhere. And besides the clutch in the windlass won’t allow for that much force. I always use a anchor bridle when anchored, to take the load off the windlass.

Filled in some holiday downtime with a diy troll master. Relocated the kill switch and used the existing hole incase it doesn’t work out. ( kill switch still accessible). Speed dial is the plastic thumb screw below the key. Seems to work well in the driveway. Cost was less then $40.

What type of device is the speed dial?

removing all the mercruiser stuff from the striper, as well as the steering, all the gauges, i have drafted up the new panel for gauges and switches, and will send it off to be made soon, i am happy to see three rigging tubes down the side of the boat.
the old panel was real ugly, new one will remove main panel and aux switch panel below, hour meter bellow will become the key switch

This boat deserves its own thread!
