I have the next 10 weeks off and am looking for a deal or two of some kind-have booked 5 days at Duval Point Lodge in Port Hardy for mid July and any similar 'do it yourself' is of interest but would consider guided trips.

So many lodges not opening some 'sort of' opening it's hard to know where to start.

If anyone hears of anything Please leave a note here or shoot me an email hardnosethehighway@gmail.com

PS-anyone ever use Harbourside out of Bamfield?

If you're thinking of coming down the inside you may want to drop by Pete's place in Denham bay: https://www.denhambay.com He can certainly guide you but it's easy to find the spots on that area.

Dock space, cabins or stay on your rig. Its reasonable and right near some awesome fishing. Dent is closed still so I be they're pretty busy.

10 weeks off is nice if it is planned (financially).

I have 9 weeks off starting July 1. Most of my adventures are more of the "do it yourself" type of things as well.

I am scheduled to pick up my boat in Parksville this weekend to start things off. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.
As I am in the central interior of the province, it is the same amount of highway time heading north as south to salmon fishing.

Have fun with your 10 weeks...

My girlfriend and I stayed here, only for three nights. Host was a guide from the Cowichan area during "the good times" and now guides recreationally out of the government wharf down the street. Said it was a 10 minute run to the Telegraph launch and a 15 minute run to the start of Knight Inlet. Offers guiding services to guests too, which we took advantage of and got a couple nice halibut.

Shoot me a PM when you are in the area, would be great to get together for a cold one and put a face to the name
