SFI Annual Conference and Big Splash
November 26, 2014 - Get Your Early Bird Tickets Now!
As the first winter storms begin sweeping through the Lower Mainland, the SFI Team is busy getting ready for this year’s annual industry policy conference, which will be held at the River Rock Casino Resort on November 26, 2014 beginning at 11:30am with lunch.

As we mentioned, we’ve changed thing up a bit this year and will be starting the conference with a lunch sponsored by St. Jean’s Cannery and FedEx. This later start will allow conference attendees from the Island and outside the Lower Mainland a bit more time to get to Richmond. It will also force us to ensure that we have a tight and focused agenda that will address the industry issues that you want to talk about.

While we’re still working on the finer points, we have a full agenda and you can expect to hear about a range of topics including a first look at the 2015 Salmon Outlook from DFO, an update on some the latest vessel licensing and regulatory issues from Transport Canada as well as a host of other interesting and informative presentations.

And with this year’s later start, we hope that most of you attending the conference will be able to stay for our annual Big Splash Gala Fundraiser. As usual, you can look forward to a great meal, a great opportunity to connect with old friends and a wonderful chance to get an early start on your Christmas shopping with our fantastic live and silent auction items.

For more information about conference and Big Splash tickets, please contact the SFI by e-mail at info@sportfishing.bc.ca or by calling the SFI office at (604) 946-0734.

We look forward to seeing you at the River Rock!
