Finally picked up my kicker in Vancouver. Just need the time to rig it up and I am ready for another fun season of fishing :D

Has anyone made their own prop guard before? I will be making one since I was quoted $300 for a stainless one off the shelf.

Cut a piece out of a 20L bucket. Big or as little as you like.
You will need some kind of brace at skeg. Does not get any cheaper. gl

Took a look at a guard at Parker Marine today. $89.99 and it would need to be modified to fit the pre drilled holes in my motor. I will make one in the next week or so for less cash.

I took some pictures of the merc on the back of my little bath tub tonight for insurance purposes. I will need to install a fixed mount kicker bracket to allow clearance between the main and kicker at full turn.
