Looking for advice: Infrared / Night vision

Looking to add infrared to my existing Raymarine MFD / anyone have any experience with these systems or have one for sale?

Used one on a SAR boat. Don,t like them. You have your head down too much looking at a screen. Much prefer using my own eyes, ears, nose.

Done much more traveling at night than I would have liked over the decades.
Up and down the Fraser River all the way to Rivers Inlet.
Kept a pitch black wheelhouse, never hit something that did damage.
