Lots of Chum in the rivers , not sure if there are that many left out there . Can anyone elaborate on this ?

Prime time for Mouth of the Fraser Chum fishing was about 2-3 weeks ago its pretty much over now. They are notorious for not biting and people only seem to be able to luck into them once in awhile.

I’ve heard Nanaimo fisherman target them but I’ve only got a few incidentally

We went out to Tunstall today. It was a bit rough getting out. We got there at nine. The action started at noon. We got 5 just under 1 border line. Released it. We got sealed twice and witnessed some other sealing. I was right off the bottom. My dad was up 30 feet from the bottom and all the action came on my side. Black glow flasher and a herring aid spoon. Most likely going to take the boat out on Wednesdays. Sad day for me, happy day for the wife. I guess 60 plus days on the water since March isn't bad.

It wasn't that big, looks big in the pic was around 8-10lb ... the dramatic head shot

8-10 is a pretty big fish. but I guess with all the tyees that get caught around Vancouver it's small.

what is with the tyee envy? there are many legit tyee caught every year around vancouver , mostly in september , your time will come

8-10 is a pretty big fish. but I guess with all the tyees that get caught around Vancouver it's small.
