Value of old scotty downriggers

I have a pair of old scotty "two belt" downriggers that are taking up space.

They are in good shape and work but are very slow, believe the motors may need work/rebuild?

Any advice on what to ask for these when putting up for sale?

If they’re in optimum working condition, I don’t see a speed difference between 1106 and the double belt models. You may want to take them in for service and you’ll be able to get more. If the motors are gone, then I agree with what KB is suggesting here.

Scotty actually replaced the motor on my 2 belt rigger no charge under warranty.

I had a two belt rigger that went in for service and they just replace with a whole new downrigger

I still have my 2 belters from 1991 used for at least 3000 days and still work fine. Guess i've got my money's worth out of them, lol

Still using 2 belters myself. Scotty just put a new switch on one under warranty.

I have 2 belters also and have never had an issue with them. one of the guys a Scott Plastic said he thinks they are more reliable than one belters.

$150 seems extremely low from what I've seen selling. I also have a pair of older 2 belts and they are great, as fast as new 1106's obviously not as fast as the power depth ones. In rough shape $150 would be fair but serviced by Scotty with newer braid and accessories closer to $300. Good luck.
