I was jigging for cod out at yellowpoint about 3 weeks back and caught only 3 small rock cod all weekend.Last year we caught 11 one morning in under 2hrs. and some good sized ones too!Has anyone else noticed this around the S.East of VI?
why do u think the govt. is putting all the closures on rock cod in georgia strait. Its pretty obvious that the fishing is slow because there are poor numbers.
Most likely you were fishing in a closed area with the intent of catching cod.. Check the regs and the news clips.. Decimation comes to mind. The reproductive cycle speaks for itself..dirty
