What's the deal with idiots driving so close to fishing vessels?

Not all are bad. I called one in last year after they nearly swamped out a family in small tinny out in east sooke. He lit his motors up very close and it was unsafe. The captain apologized and company took responsibility. If you don't say anything they don't get message

I have been swamped a few times by them in South Arm, I suppose not all bad but we shouldn't have to absorb their wake so the can save time and fuel and you are right we should let them know.

I was trolling on the lake today and a guy flys past me within ten to fifteen feet. Why he didn't pass at a decent distance is beyond me, we were the only boats on the lake.....
