What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Skill saw with a finishing blade works great for AL as well sometimes easier to keep straight than the jig. Good luck on the project how thick are you going for the transom?
1/8 for the skin. Probably have to move the splash well forward but hoping not too

It’s been a good week!!!

I had Salus Yacht Services (Mike) come out to my place and he got me dialled in…
Ran led strip lights under the dash and gunnels to get those flashers charged and it looks effing cool too.

He also got my twin Garmin 7” touchscreens installed with a new stainless transducer bracket.

last but not least a new stereo with a fusion head unit installed as tidy as can be in the step up area. 4 skar audio 6.5” speakers has this baby bumpin!

it was filthy in here so I gave it a full wipe down including the bilge area, charged the batteries and topped her up with premium fuel. Ready for the water!

Went new bearings last week and a little cleanup. Organized some gear and went over the systems. I was going to put her in her slip this weekend but tested positive with the rona, so I’ll have to wait till after quarantine.

Went for my first burn in 6 months. Ran like a top. Got her up to 48Mph.

really impressed with the detail of the Garmin map out of the box. I don’t see a need for a map chip. @Aquaholic

Everything is amazing except it’s taking lots of turns of the wheel to get the main to turn much. Any tips? Low on hydraulic fluid?

How far from shore have you been so far? There’s already contour detailing within a certain distance from shore but if you’re gonna get out further, you might need it.

I have the Garmin 1042 came with the built in map. Been fine for me. The next map chip up just isn’t needed in my opinion. They have a even newer map chip out now, not much better

probably have air in your steering system, just top it up and bleed it and you will be fine

His might have it already too. At start up, the screen will say the software version (currently 19.20) and if Bluechart G3 is already installed.

Got my fuel tank installed on my Thunderjet.
Last October I noticed a smell of fuel after coming down hard after a tug wave. I took my seats and floor out for access and found the tank was cracked. That was in October!! Just got a replacement OEM tank from Thunderjet installed by the dealer this week, 6 month wait for a warranty fuel tank, missed my whole winter season for a 1500 dollar tank… not sure if it was worth it. Still had to install my floor and seats, prime the fuel system. Took her out for a cruise, nice to be on the water again.9C23CE78-67C3-4F60-BB07-21E7DE177F22.jpeg1F26E5AB-8F47-4381-8229-398BA3C3B482.jpeg
