What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Fixed loose bow rail.
Installed hydraulic steering system and new steering wheel.
Mounted throttle and shift controls.
Reinstalled kicker bracket and kicker.
Tested the used gauges that I bought and all work perfect.
New starting battery with higher CCA
New 8’ vhf antenna.
Found my keys lol
Figured out my bow fuel tank won’t fit so have to sell that.

Every time I work on my boat, I make a bigger to do list. So more updates to come

I feel your pain! what size is the tank I wonder if mine would fit it.... :p

* Installed 4 new house batteries. Rolls Marine 6 volt 275AH AGM

* Installed 2 SunPower flexible 170 watt solar panels on my aft Bimini and connected them to a Victron MPPT 100/30 controller.
The solar panels are installed onto the Bimini with heavy duty zippers and Velcro so that they can be removed for cleaning under the canvas.
Along with my Victron battery monitor I can now monitor all my power in and out on an iPhone App
Shouldn't have to worry about battery power under normal conditions.

* Polished and waxed the hull side and upper decks. Spent a lot of time and effort originally 4 years ago but now just needs twice annual waxing to stay on top. I have been using Mequiars Flagship with very good results but tried Star Brite Premium Marine polish this time. It goes on really nice and is easier to use than Mequiars. Will see how it lasts though.

* Painted my 200' of anchor chain in 25 foot sections with a color code so I know how much anchor I have out.

* Bottom and drive anti fouling and all new Zincs

Ran both motors in the tank, found a thermostat at a local parts place, and changed it out.
While the boat was idling I flicked on the running lights, and the bow was not working.
Lots of corrosion despite using sealant.
On a whaler, accessing the wires means peeling one side of the rub rail off. The black is just okay, but the white plastic has lots of dings and cracks, which isn't surprising for a 44 year old boat. New three piece rails are about US$275 plus shipping and customs?
So a $4.00 rusty bulb holder, is quickly escalating in both cash and time.

I think it was about 36" base x 36" tall if you were picturing it as a triangle/bow shape. I needed about 30" x 30" for my boat so its not gonna fit. Maybe if I prop it up and I'd have some storage area underneath the tank??? But I'd rather have it deadloaded down on the floor of the boat.

I'll get some proper measurements of it in the next week and maybe list it for sale.

New cup holders, from black to white , with drainage , so no more mini pool bail outs, until they plug up lol

She’ll be good. Anybody that tackles a job like that and does it with the efficiency and cleanliness you did it in knows what he’s doing. Probly done better and with more care than most shops would have done it.
Thanks, made it down to Thrasher, and around Gab.
beautiful run down through Dodds.
She ran perfectly, no leaks, sounds excellent, 3.5 hrs so far
