Wanted: Used 90-115 HP 4-Stroke

Thanks for the heads up on the motor in Port, exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately I head back to work today and never got a chance to go have a look at it. Maybe it'll still be available in a couple weeks when I get off. Thanks again. @thefogducker thanks as well for the heads up on the 90 Merc, it was snatched up almost immediately.

There is a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke on Nanaimo Craigslist. 1000 hours.It is on Gabriola island.

Think I'm going to pull the trigger this week on the 115 E-Tec, went for a ride yesterday and it was as advertised. $8500, 330hours, controls and gauges. Any thoughts on the price or this motor? Also it's a 2014 with warranty til 2020. Thanks for any input just wanted a little peace of mind before I go drop the cash. Thanks in advance.

I think the price is fine. You could try to shave off $500 but how would you feel if you lose out on this motor going into prime season?

Here are some comparables at rock bottom USD pricing for reference;

You will love that motor.

I put bennetts on my 172 it was the best money I spent on the boat just my opinion
Hey, was just wondering what style transom was on your boat? Mine is cut out a little further on the port side to accommodate a kicker. Because of that the port trim tab would have to be drilled in a bad spot where the engine well meets the transom. Hard to explain. Was just wondering if yours were maybe electric? Don't think the hydraulic ones are going to work on here unfortunately.

Do you remember if you had to buy and external hydraulic line adapter for the port side as the transom stays low to accommodate kicker?

Purchased the 2014 115 E-Tec, very happy with it so far. I had some concern on the Evinrude warranty but it turns out to be no problem and very good actually. Had trouble trying to get P Y Marine in Port Alberni to transfer warranty (nothing mechanically) into my name but was not an issue doing it at South Island Marine in Sidney (would highly recommend over P Y for front desk personnel). The aft cowling latch was broken somehow from after the time I examined to the time it was mounted on my boat, no way to repair as it was a plastic piece that was broken and glue would not work. After one day of the warranty being in my name South Island Marine took photos and said it wouldn't hurt to send a claim in as a new cowling is $1500 to buy new. Low and behold it was approved they have it at their shop and I just need to bring my boat in to have it installed...brand new cowling ($50 deductible)! Works out well because the one that came with had a few scratches. Also once hooked to the computer there was only 250 hours not 350! Happy all and all and thank you all so much for your help in finding this motor. Now it's time to find a kicker!
