Anyone know if there's some kind of law or anything against your employer lowering your wages? I have a commission based wage per job(mechanic), and although the lowering of my percentage and raising of the door rates sort of equals out, it sometimes completely does not. (Lost 43 bucks on Wednesday). Is this legal?

when flat rate/commision based...you are SOL

samething happened to us a few years ago...salary went donw and pay plan changed...but it has benefitted now after a bit and learning the way it works

A good friend of mine works for VIHA at Vic General as a carpeter. They recently put the maintnence crew on the same union as the nurses. Try going from a 30$/hr full time carpenter union wage with benefits down to a 19.75$/hr part time wage with half benefits.

He was choked. Hes looking for a new job now!
