Her socialist theme is just that. People are rallying around her because of this fake agenda she puts out. Name one thing she has actually done that would lead me to think she actually cares about socia issues. Was it the mandatory sentencing she enacted with her husband that preyed on poor black communities in the 90's? I could go on and on about her inconsistencies between what she says and what she has actually done.
As far as her wall st ties, I fully agree that leaders need a relationship with sectors like that. Although, having received over $150 million dollars over the last decade or so for "speeches" leads me to think she owes them something in return.
You do realize it was Bill that repealed Glass-Stegal with her right beside him campaigning for it. It was that act that let the bankers go crazy and put us in this precarious position we are in today. Which by the way is far from over.
So when Dodd-Frank was enabled to try and bring some common sense back into investment banking in the last few years it was despised by wall st. It's been watered down since, you think what's left will last long now if she gets in?
She used her position of power as Secretary of State to grossly abuse the power it wielded. The extent of that was covered up criminally.

That is something that has troubled many of us and why we say things here on this forum and do things in our communities with our volunteer work. We were busy raising families and getting ahead of the bills to keep food on the table and dry roof over their heads to pay enough attention. I guess I just trusted people to do the right thing as that's how I was brought up.

The thing is, there is a major sea change coming. Our generation are more equipped to make informed decisions, all the while paying bills, feeding our families etc etc just like you had to do.
There was excitement at the fact that Bernie was a potential candidate, he was a little on the socialistic side for my liking but he would have been my preferred candidate hands down.
Just look around the world, the people want to take back what has been stolen by the generation before us.
Brexit won, not because of immigration (though that rang true with some), but because the EU is a corrupt, anti democratic machine brought on by self serving false liberal "leaders".
There is a whole lot of people that are sick to their stomache with this type of leadership and hence the Trumps come along. It was only a matter of time.
I don't think you can say I've ever sung the mans praises. But it's time, time to try something different, who knows, it just might even turn out better than you thought. Like ive said before, quit trying the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

I honestly think he will win, my $100 bet still stands if anyone is up.

Innovation has always been one of the great by-products of free market systems. Entrepreneurs have always found entries into markets by giving consumers more options for the products they desire. The government should do all it can to reduce barriers to entry into markets and should work at creating a business environment where fair trade is as important as free trade. Similarly, the federal government should encourage innovation in the areas of space exploration and investment in research and development across the broad landscape of academia. Though there are increasing demands to curtail spending and to balance the federal budget, we must make the commitment to invest in science, engineering, healthcare and other areas that will make the lives of Americans better, safer and more prosperous.

I have a daughter, certainly anyone who brags about his ability to grab anyone's ***** because he is a star I can not vote for as president, if for no other reason I'd have to justify that to her one day. The fact he is a demagogue who has stated he will put his opponent in jail, has now said there shouldn't be an election, he should just be declared the winner, has attempted to delegitimize the entire election with his unfounded lies about it being rigged (The few cases of election fraud turning up have almost all been republicans), has stated he wants the US military to carry out war crimes by targetting relatives of suspected enemies, wants to bring torture back (The whole Iraq war debacle was based on faulty intelligence from torture). Of course his inciting hate against a particular ethnic group isnt a new tactic, Hitler used it to great effect, as have many other authoritarian regimes. This is a profoundly ignorant dangerous man. Unlike other Americans I can always leave and go back to Canada (Many Americans are under the impression they can too, that they can go live in Cape Breton) , but certainly I fear the reach of this mans ignorance and what it can do from the economic damage, and the almost certain expansion of US wars which will have an effect no matter where one lives.
