WE went for a great day fishing for halibut at Ucluelet . The transderm patch works . Everyone had one behind their ear. Rough ride to get out 25 miles on the big bank but once their it calmed down. The day ended with 5 halibuts kept and 10 hatchery cohos.
We could not locate any springs. We went all the way to 225 feet deep . In the last hour I thought to run shallow , 60 feet and we nail a huge spring must be 25 plus . We had it at the boat but the hook came off. All the other guides also did not find any springs that day only halibut and coho
Sounds like fun to me. There were springs at the Shallows on Wednesday, and in small patches at Whale tail on Thursday. Did the halis come on the troll, drift or anchor?
