The totally inadequate, biased and unfair allocation system in place for Canada’s Pacific halibut is about to create a short season disaster for local anglers. A new SFI website dedicated to the halibut issue has everything needed to understand and deal with the halibut situation. The web site can be reached at www.sfibc.com.

Are you sure you want to restrict people to one mile off shore? How about Constance bank Boarder Bank??

"Boundaries for Halibut are from Cowichan Bay around to Owen Point and running one mile out from shore."

Too bad, I cannot make the dates for this. But I will contribute some $ for the charity. Great idea.

Yeah, that 1 mile restriction sounds dumb.

will there be any room at jocks to tie up if were weighing in (hopefully)
30 ft boat?

Bryce ther is lots of room at both marinas(jocks and sooke harbor) and im sure they wont mind one bit if you are weighing in a lunker but you have to catch one first .... LOL LOL

Any derby updates? With this wind I'm a little worried about my Bro's out there.
I'll check Outfitters website as well.

Excellent first year derby, weather was tough today, but a few guys were out to the west of sooke ,Dez Hatchard and guests did very well with the winning fish 167lbs and second place 61lbs caught today, the trio also picked up 4th place ,the crew was on fire, congrats, good turnout and the future looks bright for this derby.

If anyone didn't have a chance to pick up shirts or hoodies there are lots left and we need to sell them to maximize the donation. Get in touch with Jock's to get yours.

Wow really.....did someone just say that

You may have said lets have a hali derby but that's where it ended buddy and you know it if you think you should take any credit for this you are sadly mistakin, everyone worked very hard on this and you were nowhere to be seen you take your charter back after donating it to the cause what kind of guy does this if he is the guy that is running the derby, you come to the final weight in and serve papers from a lawyer stating you own the name while the derby is still on ,who and what kind of single minded person would do this ,take your name and your little band of friends and just try and make another derby fly ,dude you have been blackbalded to say the least ,you would never get the support expecially now that people will know that it was all about you, this was for the community one very inportant part that you have miised ,so take your name and go away, bye bye.
