Tailfin nac-1 hook up

Hi , i am curious if anyone has ever hooked a tailfin up to a lowrance nac-1 with a hds and made a autopilot out of the tailfin . It would be very similar to a reactor 40 .

i have a 24’ cuddy Sterndrive Power assisted steering with a tie bar and a yamah 9.9 kicker .i own a hds gen 2 touch . Right now steering with the tie bar is almost impossible with out the main running .

if it worked it would be alot cheaper then a garmin reactor 40.

i stick to interior lakes , primarily shuswap .

I believe the nac1 was designed for hydraulic or cable steer units. Not electric. I just went through all this and ended up just going with the lowrance autopilot.
