Fished elk lake from 2:30 to 8:30 for bass. Not a sniff. Although there were lots finning in the lily pads. Used frog. Anyone had any luck enticing them to bite today?

Went to Elk today in my pontoon for some trout action. Was very windy, picked up 2 about 12 inchers, water very murky with an algae bloom. Had a couple more bites but nothing stellar happening. I didn’t have a thermometer but the water felt unusually warm.
Blew the cobwebs off my pontoon which was good. I recently retired so it’ll get lots more use now. ;-)

Went to Elk Lake again today to mess around for a couple hours. I kept two little trout for my dinner, this is what was in one of them, a rubber bait. It was about a 12 inch trout. It completely filled its belly. Would have been some doing to digest that. ;-)

Oddly enough I caught my best trout last night @ kemp on a 4" bass worm I guess it was hungry lol

Hit my favourite lake today. It now has pumpkinseeds in it along with the bass some jerk put in there a number of years ago. I caught my first pumpkinseed today and saw a number of schools on the sounder. From my experience on other lakes that will pretty much finish off any half decent trout fishing.
50 years from now there won't be a lake in BC that guys haven't screwed up by throwing trash fish in them.
