Sockeye location near mill bay

With all the sockeye running on the inside, anyone have any locations near mill bay that you can catch them, excluding pender . I am not sure if you can go off Galiano or somewhere closer to catch them. I am guessing most have already crossed by that point, as I have commercially fished them off Texada, but never really on the island side after johnstone straits.

The run across to van is a bit much for a few sockeye, unless I have a boat load of people.

Hey. Keep your eyes open for the big part of the run recently. In 2010 and 2011 you could get them mid strait and half way across..it's a long way to run for a few sox but if you are coming for 16-24 fish it may make for a fun morning or evening of fishing... How many people can you have on board your boat?

There is some decent Chinook fishing to be had too...

Ya, that has been a thought of mine. Just tough to swallow the fuel bill. I also tend to fish for solitude, so that throws that out the window
