Smelts

My old Greek friend :Constantine" brought me smelts from Pt Renfrew (he got 1/2 bucket in 1 day, he says -very slow). I am totally freakin hooked.
Breaded, fried in garlic and olive oil. I see what I have been missing. "food of the Gods"
My question is-That was a great monster school of smelts at the trap shack on Monday right?? guys were jigging them...........
Where would those smelts be spawning??

1/2 a bucket !! at least he got some ! we've been skunked not even one smelt last three years in a row... that is very good news that there are some smelt starting to show up again in Renfrew !..
