Just received my salt water fishing licence package and noted a license costs less this year? I wrote to DFO and here is their response.
Thank you for your response to the IAP Newsletter #8. There was a small typo in the newsletter, the 2022/2023 fees have slightly decrease compared to the 2021/2022 fees. The change in Tidal Waters Sport Fishing licence fees is dependent on the Consumer Price Index (CPI), please see the March 5, 2020 Fishery Notice for more information https://notices.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fns-sap/index-eng.cfm?pg=view_notice&DOC_ID=230330&ID=all.
