Salt Water Fishing in the Lowermainland

I got next few days off work and i want to do some fishing on salt water But im a NOOB and i need advice as to where
to go to try to catch some Rockfish in the Salt Water from SHORE as i dont have a boat. any locations?? what to use for bait?? anytihng would help!! OH yah this has to be in the lowermainland from the shore[8D]

I know there are bullheads to be caught from the local pier. All you need is weiner..

Very</u> tough-local Rockfish populations are pretty much a goner-haven't heard of anyone catching a Rockfish from shore locally for decades.

There are however some Coho @ the mouth of the Capilano-low tide in the AM is best or whenever you can fish-throw small Spinners/Jigs/Spoons from the beach @ Ambleside.
