Last week one of our members Bankers Hours, aka Dan Williams past away at the young age of 36. He could be seen fishing the waters from Oak Bay Marina where he kept his 2004 29 foot Pursuit to Sooke and the waters off Bamfield. He will be missed by many. Tight Lines, The next Tyee's for you Dan!

I did not know Dan, but my sympathy goes out to his family...
it's always sad to hear of someone so young passing away.

Daniel (Danny) Stewart Williams

WILLIAMS, Daniel Stewart (aka Danny, Monkey, SuperBanker)

Born February 12th, 1973, in New Westminster, B.C., Dan was taken from us suddenly, but peacefully on November 24th, 2009 in Boyle, Alberta. Beloved son of Daryl & Barbara Williams (nee: McCall); dearest brother of Craig (Katalin) and adored Uncle to Benjamin & Mia. He also leaves behind his loving and devoted fianc¨¦e, and soulmate, Michelle Galenzoski, and her family, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless people Dan referred to as friends and cousins across North America.

Dan had many passions for which he will be remembered. After family, which was always first for Dan, fishing, golfing, and hunting were always on the top of his list. He would often be found trolling the waters off Sooke and Oak Bay searching for the elusive Tyee, spending time with his ¡°second¡± family at Uplands Golf Course where he honed his handicap to a ¡°3.9¡å, or spending endless hours hunting with his dear cousin Scott Adams, and great friends Cameron Naqvi and Neil Tickell, amongst others.

In his professional life, Dan was a very respected and successful member of the BMO Mortgage Specialist Team, a career that he enjoyed immensely. As a result of the friendships he shared, his absence weighs heavily on the team. He was an incredible colleague and friend, and will be missed deeply.

Dan was never happier than when he was spending time with his love Michelle and his dog Tucker, away on his boat ¡°Banker¡¯s Hours¡±.

Visitation will be held at McCall Bros. Floral Chapel, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Wednesday and Thursday, December 2nd & 3rd, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held to honour Dan and celebrate his life at St. Aidan¡¯s United Church, 3703 St. Aidan¡¯s Street on Friday, December 4th, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Burial entrusted to Royal Oak Burial Park. Reception to follow at Uplands Golf Course from 1 to 4 p.m. If so desired, donations in Dan¡¯s memory may be made to the Uplands Heart Fund, 3300 Cadboro Bay Road, Victoria, B.C. V8R 5K5.
