OK Folks, I can't recall where the most appropriate thread was for discussing how to store rods broken down when in transit or storage, but I thought I would share the soft touch twist ties I just bought at Ukranian Tire for 3 bucks. I just used them to replace all the hair bands I was using and they work great. Hold the pieces together tightly and are gentle on the rod finish and can be cut to any size!

Looks like I forgot to report back.

All is good.
I have been out fishing carrying both hali gear and salmon gear and in some slop.
Haven't lost anything yet.

I have had both types of rods in this while running and while hali fishing I have 2 salmon rods and my harpoon in it.

Sure is nice to have the rods safely out of my boat.
