Radon Gas

Just wondering if anyone on this site has had their home tested for Radon gas. Is it better to buy a testing device, or find a professional that can do the testing? We live in Victoria.

You can find a test kit online or maybe crd. Just place it in the basement as per instructions and then send it to the lab for results. Don't panic, it takes time. Radon is not good for you but excessive levels take a long time to make you sick. I had a system installed with a level display for about $1400.
Not difficult to do yourself.

Radon gas is not common in the coastal areas of BC. It is generally found on the other side the Coast Mountains and across the balance of BC and the prairies. For peace of mind, you could get it tested but it's not likely to turn up much, if anything.
