Went up yesterday, got our Halis no prob, then headed to Logan and got a couple of nice ones 23# & 27# at 60' & 48' on the rigger w/chovies...had to work for em though but seems to be getting a little better...One of them was the "Columbia" type, the other a Fraser. We thought it's very late for a Columbian so maybe all the fish are just really late this year...dunno
Seems like weird year just about everywhere. Spent two weeks at Nootka, first week in the rain a waste of time, second week much better but as of the 27th still no masses of springs inside.
In the right place at the right time, you catch, then the schools move on quickly, what was hot in the morning is fishless by afternoon.
