new elk lake techniques

I know people have a lot of success fishing rapala and fly's but I am curious if anyone has tried fishing small tomic plugs, baitrix lures, or mini strip in elk with much success? I am just looking to try new methods on the lake.

They all work VERY well there. You just gotta figure out your depth, speed and colours and you'll be golden!! Tipping your lures never hurts as well.

With a little bait. A piece of worm works great. Just something to give it that little bit extra.

Ive had the best luck trout fishin with 3 inch tomics. once you get your color your perfect and when using theses plugs you have to troll faster than you normally would just so you get the better action

Black Leech pattern.. type 3 full sink fly line on a 5 weight rod... 18ft of water... took a 6lb Rainbow near the North End swimming beach... plus a bunch of scrappy Bass...
